UT Kangri Expedition

UT Kangri Elevation is (6070m (19,914 ft)) is the highest mountain in the Rumste Phu Range of the Zankar Mountains a Trans-Himalayan mountain in the Ladakh. The UT peak is located in Rumste Phu which is 09 km far from the village of Rumtse. It's 75 km distance of the main city of Leh to Rumtse, Ladakh.

The peak was explored by some local mountaineers group from Ladakh Call LMGA. They also successfully scaled the height of UT Ladakh Kangri Peak at 6070m. There are many peaks around this ranges but UT kangri is the best for those who are new to mountaineering and planning to do 6000m peak at the beginning. Stunning views from top of the peaks. You will get the beautiful view of different ranges of mountains peaks like Stok Kangri, Kang-Yatse and Markha Valley.

Day 1 :
Arrival at Leh & acclamatization, over night at Hotel.

Day2 :
Acclamatize and Local sight seeing near LEH.

Day 3 :
Day hike and walk until Shanti stupa

Day 4 :
Drive from Leh to Runtse Dok 4800 M and trek to runtse phu. Walk 3-4 hrs. Over night camping.

Day 5 :
Rumtse phu to base camp 5300 M . walk 6-7 hrs, over night Camping.

Day 6 :
Base camp, rest day,equipment check & height gain walk. Over night camping

Day 7 :
Base camp to Summit 6070 M hike 10-12 hrs. Over night camping.

Day 8 :
Contigency day, An extra day for bad weather & other difficulties, Over night Camping.

Day 9 :
Base camp to descending at Rumtse Phu 4-5 hrs walk and pick up by car to Leh. Over night at Leh Hotel.
